For this speech, I will start with an experiment, I’ll talk about a sickness we all share and how it affects your speeches. First, I’ll start with an experiment, I will explain the sickness, I will follow up by explaining its symptoms and I will end by giving very personal and subjective advice for all of our speeches.
Here’s the experiment, I’d to use the first 30 seconds for the following exercise. I would like you all to try stop all your thoughts, To stop all the words in your mind for 30 sec. Are you ready? 3,2,1 Go.
You couldn’t do it, could you? And those of you who think that you succeeded. Your thoughts are lying to you and I hope that by the end of my speech, I will have convinced you can’t trust your thoughts.
I’m sick and tired of people that just recite information that I can find on my own.
If that’s what you’re going to tell me in your speech, I don’t want to listen to it. Just send me your text and I’ll read it on my own. When I want to listen to someone, I want their unique & subjective point of view.
It’s not your fault, you’re sick, we’re all sick.
Language is a virus that comes from outer space.
Words are parasites that invade your mind and never let you go.
They’ve convinced you that they’re lifeless, have no importance to them.
Wrong, they are living powerful illusions that are nourished by your attention.
That’s why just keep on chattering Endlessly, like a doomed train riding eternally to hell.
They just go on and on and at one point in your life, they get you. And you start believing what they tell you
You probably believe them when they tell you that you’re free.
You probably believe them when they tell you that you choose your actions.
And you probably believe them when they say that they come from you.
The greatest trick those parasites ever pulled on us, is convincing us that they don’t exist.
You only have one choice. A choice that you make each second of your life. The choice to listen to the parasites and fall asleep. Or the choice to renounce them and experience the world without their commentary.
The second choice doesn’t need to control every detail of your life.
The second choice isn’t concerned about comparing yourself to others.
The second choice doesn’t care about improving yourself.
I can hear your parasites right now. “No, I can’t just give up. I can’t just stop. I can’t just let go. I must control. I must act. I’m special. It’s wrong, all wrong”
They’re always frustrated and striving towards some imaginary dream situation.
Ever notice what happens when your parasites get what they want? Ever notice how they always find new problems?
“I love my new car, I just hope nobody scratches it” “I won the lottery, What will I do with all that money?” “I finally have that job, but the coffee sucks”
And that’s the trick they play on you. I said before that the parasites feed on your attention, the more you give it to them the less connected you are with the world in front of you and the more powerful they become over you.
They will scream at you, manipulate you, play with you, lie to you, tell you the truth, just to keep your attention.
They will use grand words meaning, purpose or even happiness.
Just take happiness, the parasites will tell you “I’m happy now” when any type of random condition they imposed on your life is met.
Does that seem fair and to you? Do you accept to let some parasites decide when you can be happy?
Because those parasites only pretend to care about you, they don’t.
They only care about their fake illusions that they put in front of you and anything that doesn’t conform to those illusions is bad. And that’s the game they play on you.
They manipulate you into following those illusions, firmly keeping your attention on them and they’ll make you hate the parts that don’t conform to their those ideals.
That can be any part of yourself, others or the world you’re living in. And you’ll believe that those illusions are reality. You’ll even believe that the thoughts in your mind are connected to reality.
But Science proves me right. It has proven that the information that comes through your senses is filtered to represent reality. Represent reality. A representation of reality is not reality. Next time you’re at a restaurant, try to eat the menu instead of your meal and let your stomach tell you the difference between a representation of your meal and your actual meal.
You DON’T see reality. I don’t see reality. Nobody sees reality. We only see a filtered version of it. A representation of reality.
Yet they’ve convinced you that the illusions they put in front of your is objective reality. And that your thoughts are real and connected to reality. But when you’re doing this you’re being their puppet.
Stop acting like their puppet trying to recount their illusions. Tell me your truth, tell me what you’ve been through. Stop talking about facts, moralities, ideas, ideals, concepts, lessons or any of those parasitic illusions.
I don’t care about the most important moments of your life, I want to live those events with you.
I don’t care about what you learned, I want to live those lessons with you.
I don’t care about what you do, I want to be there doing it with you.
I refuse to hear all of those things the parasites tell you.
I will repeat what I said at the beginning, If that’s what you’re going to tell me in your speech, I don’t want to listen to it. Just send me your text and I’ll read it on my own.
Make me feel. Make me see what you see, make me hear what your hear. Make me feel what you feel. I want to see your subjective version of reality.
Take control of the parasites and use them. Use the virus of language to make me live your reality.
I want to hear your story. Because you are here in front of me. Even if you’re filtered by my parasites, you’re still here, having the same parasitic filled existence as I have.
So please tell me your version of your story.
